Site Area

Currently PT. Dumas Tanjung Perak Shipyard has 2 area for ship construction and repair / refit services. Our main yard is at Jl. Nilam Barat 12 Surabaya covering land are area of 9950 sqm. This yard houses the Main Office, Uncovered paved working area, Covered pipe shop, Covered plate shop, Open and Closed storage area. This yard is also equipped with a Launching way and an Outfitting quay.

Our secondary yard is located at Jl. Nilam Barat 24-26 and covering land area of 17.650 sqm. The working area is approximately 9800 sqm pavement complete with a 125x20x6m Graving Dock. Our facitilies can host a capacity up to 8000 DWT. This offsite is also equipped with a Travelling Gantry Crane capable of lifting up to 30 tons of equipments.

Other facilities at this area are office buildings, Covered Pipe Shop and Outfitting, Covered Machine shop, Covered Carpentry and Woodworking shop, Covered store And Open storage area, with an Outfitting Quay.

Workshop And Installations

To support our services of New Ship Building and Repairs, PT Dumas has an armada of fully equipped workshops and qualified workers. The workshops and equipments includes :

  1. An NC Cutting Machine
  2. Plate Shop, equipped with a Press Plate Machine, Roll Plate Machine, and Plate Cutting Machine
  3. Pipe Shop equipped with Pipe Bending Machine, Hydraulic Pipe Bender and Flare Machine, Hydraulic Pressure test Pump. This workshop is capable of manufacturing and installing various pipe types such as Steel pipe, Stainless Steel, Aluminium pipe Work, Copper pipe, Cunifer and Pipa PVC/ABS/Hep2o.
  4. Machine Shop equipped with Drilling Machine and Lathe Machine up to 12 meter. This workshop is fully equipped for machining shaft propeller, re-balancing and propeller repairs, rudder making and rudder stock.
  5. Carpentry and Woodworking Shop, equipped with various hand tools and Precission panel saw machine.
  6. Sandblasting and Paint Shop equipped with high pressured Compressor, Mobile air compressor, and Air Reservoir
  7. An Electrical Shop

Welding Process and Equipments

To support the production needs, PT Dumas uses a variety of welding process. All the welding process has been verified and confirmed by Class. Welding equipment includes SMAW, FCAW, SAW, MIG/FCAW and TIG/GTAW Welding Machine. PT Dumas is also certified and capable of doing aluminium welding requiring special equipment and labor skill.

Lifting Equipments

Lifting equipment include a Travelling Gantry Crane with a Cap of 30 ton, Mobile crane that can lift ranging from 20 t – 40 t, Forklifts range from 3 t – 5 t, and Mobile Elevators.
