Friday, September 24, 2010 at 11 pm PT DUMAS TANJUNG PERAK SHIPYARD has successfully launched KMP. TANJUNG API, a new Ro-Ro Ferry 500 GT owned by The Directorate General of Land Transportation. The Ro-Ro Ferry will be operated to serve the route of Ampana - Wakai / Togean Island - Marissa in the middle part of Sulawesi. These ceremonies were attended by Director General of Land Transportation Mr. Soeroyo Alimoeso, Chief Commissioner of ASDP Mr. Sulaiman AB, Director of LLASDP Mr. Wiratno and Technical Director of ASDP Mr. Sirajuddin Sirait. Part of the speech adressed by Mr. Yance Gunawan, the President Director of PT. DUMAS is that "PT DUMAS will always keep the commitment of producing quality ships and on behalf of management, I thank all of the employees of PT DUMAS for the integrity, loyalty, dedication and team work to support the commitment of the company

DAMEN SHIPYARDS GORINCHEM and PT. DUMAS TANJUNG PERAK SHIPYARD as the acting DTC (DAMEN Technical Cooperation) yard, handed over ORCA VI owned by KTK (Kompania di Tou Kòrsou) SHIPPING COMPANY. The christening ceremony was held on April 2nd, 2010 at Tanjung Perak port of Surabaya. It was attended by KTK SHIPPING COMPANY officials and DAMEN SHIPYARDS GORINCHEM management representative.

Launching of KMP Kasuari Pasifik IV

On November 5th 2009, PT DUMAS TANJUNG PERAK SHIPYARD launched KMP KASUARI PASIFIK IV, a 500 GRT Roro Ferry, owned by Directorate General of Land Transportation. The launching ceremony was attended by President Director of PT. Dumas, Mr Yance Gunawan, which receives good remarks from the ship's owner on the quality of workmanship.

KN. ALPHARD (ATV II) and KN. ALNILAM (ATV III) were ready to sail to Ambon and Pontianak on May 29, 2009. The handover was attended by Indonesia’s Minister of Transportation, along with the ship’s owner (DISNAV) and several local dignitaries.

The delivery of ATV II and ATV III on May 14, 2009 is a proof that PT. DUMAS as operational partner to DAMEN Shipyard (The Netherlands) are able to meet expectations in producing quality Ships with international standard quality; and generate trust between the two companies. During the handover of KN. BIMASAKTI (BTV) and KN. ANDROMEDA (ATV I) on November 13, 2008 between PT. DUMAS and DAMEN SHIPYARDS GORINCHEM, PT. DUMAS had the privilege of having the Minister of Economic Affairs of the Netherlands, Mrs. Maria Van der Hoeven act as a witness. The visitation was part of her program to see several companies that had been cooperating with Dutch companies. The ceremony was also attended by Honorary Consul of Netherlands to Indonesia, Mrs. Sylvia Pangkey.

PT. DUMAS seals cooperation with DAMEN SHIPYARDS GORINCHEM (The Netherlands)

DAMEN SHIPYARDS GORINCHEM (The Netherlands) signed a General Agreement with PT. DUMAS TANJUNG PERAK SHIPYARD, who was appointed as one of DTC (DAMEN Technical Cooperation) Yard. The agreement starts a 5 year cooperation between the companies. Signing of document was done between Mr. Yance Gunawan, President Director of PT. Dumas, and Mr. Rene Berkzven, CEO of DAMEN SHIPYARDS GROUP, witnessed by Mr. Kommer Damen, Owner of DAMEN SHIPYARDS GROUP. The signing was done at PT. Dumas office, Surabaya, Indonesia.
